Airport
Option 1:
Airport: Amedabad Airport (AMD)
Info: This airport is a 2 hour drive from Vadodara. Please let us know if you would like help arranging airport pickup.
Option 2:
Airport: Delhi Airport (DEL)
Info: This option is for the more adventurous traveler. We recommend staying 1-2 nights in Delhi where you can arrange a Taj Mahal day tour. From Delhi, you can take a 1 hour flight to Vadodara (BDQ).

Getting your e-Visa
Applying for a travel visa can be intimidating the first time around. Here's all the info needed to make this a smooth process. The button below will bring you to the official Indian e-visa application page.
How to apply
The e-Visa application can seem intimidating, but we're here to help! Follow the link provided above to apply for your e-Visa.
When to apply
We recommend applying 15- 20 days prior to your expected arrival. You should receive a digital approval e-mail within a week of applying.
What you need
Square photo of yourself on a blank background (this can be done using your cell phone).
A digital scan of your passport (this can be done using your phone or a photo copier).

Health & Safety
While Vadodara is a safe and modern city, we want you to be as safe and comfortable as possible while traveling here. Here are some things to keep in mind during your time in India.
- DO NOT drink un-bottled water.
- DO NOT consume ice.
- DO NOT consume cold food from outside the hotel.
- DO NOT walk alone at night. Although Vadodara is very safe, please exercise caution and be alert.
Money
Credit:
Most major credit cards are accepted at shops, restaurants, and hotels. American Express is generally NOT accepted in India.
Cash:
We recommend getting cash (Rupees) for shopping. ATMs are easily accessible at the airport and throughout the city.
Note:
Rupees cannot be pre-ordered while you are outside of India. You will very easily be able to get Rupees at an ATM when you arrive.
Local Laws
Gujarat is a dry state, meaning it is illegal to publicly consume alcohol. Alcohol may only be purchased at the hotel.
Phone
Your cell provider should have roaming data available in India (but please confirm with your provider prior to the trip). Alternatively, an Indian SIM card may be purchased at the airport.
Getting Around
Transportation will be provided to and from all wedding events.
Uber, Ola, and auto rickshaws are available to get around town. Be sure to have the Uber app downloaded on your phone.
Clothes
While Vadodara is a safe city, we encourage you to respect the local culture. You will likely feel most comfortable when dressed somewhat modestly. Try to avoid low-cut tops and revealing dresses/shorts.
